So here is the address and phone of NY Journal "calumnist" Dwight R. Worley who published all of the HOME ADDRESSES of Law Abiding Conceal Carry Gun Owners of the entire state of NY:

Dwight R Worley 23006 139 Ave Springfield Gardens, NY 11413

But you might want to call him first to let him know you’ll be dropping in: (718) 527-0832

Since JD feels this is inappropriate, perhaps the story shouldn't be covered.

Strange how Lee County hiring works... I'm guessing a private company could do the job for less money with no long term debt....like pensions.

Governments don't create jobs they redistribute wealth. Sooner rather than later the bubble will burst. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that an all Republican board is so Democratic in all their policies.

1) No one in the county managed the contract from inception until the money ran out. 2) They raised the garbage tax to cover the Board and Administrators failures. 3) They are now beginning to manage the contract and working on collections. 4) The County now has a surplus of about $700,000...to pay salary increases and fund other activities. This is an annual surplus.

All of this because the County is violating the State Constitution by requiring garbage collection. Further exasperating the problem by not allowing the free market to determine who the citizens choose for pick-up. All because the County disn't have the courage to raise property taxes and furnish the service paying the money from their own funds that would be limited.

Not Jealous at all...In fact didn't expect any less... your snide comment here goes a long way ;-) Keep up the fantastic journalism. I mean you picked my opponent and Sanford Bishop on the same day!

Saddened that the Editorial Board refused to meet with all the candidates in this race. It appears that the Albany Herald chose to take the easy road and re-publish and old article. They refused to cover the garbage fiasco in this race, perhaps because it cost Williams his position. They failed to cover Muggridge giving County employees a raise at the drop of the hat, I guess spending others money is easy. Muggridge supported the T-SPLOST and is proud of creating 29 jobs that cost taxpayers money now as well as create future debt they refuse to calculate. He is happy that the County is competing with local businesses, a golf course and "convention center" to name a few. Here is a man willing to pass a sign ordinance, yet unwilling to stand behind it and require code enforcement to enforce it. That isn't leadership.

Leadership is cutting back, stopping the spending, getting out of running commercial businesses and allowing people on a fixed income to be able to stay and retire without fears of running out of money as land values increase. Vote Nelson end the days of Ed Duffy's yes men.

It will have been closer to $6000 if accurately reported...including his use of the Republican Campaign headquarters and all the other in-kind donations which must have simply slipped his mind. Which is a pretty impressive number given his statement. He also failed to report filing fees and such if you would like an accurate comparison. The primary he claimed to have spent nothing...all money was spent after Nelson entered the race as well....unless you think a filing report may not have been submitted accurately prior to the primary.

Either way that is an impressive financial account of a run against an independent you refused to sign a petition for.

By misrepresentation you mean Muggridge hasn't reported many expenses you are exactly correct. The mailing received by lee county voters yesterday is a great example. Perhaps you should so some more research into the facts...and lumber for them big old signs isn't cheap.

I'm still curious why he hasn't paid the fines levied against him by the ethics folks.

The biggest local race is that of the Charter School Amendment...

In Lee County the Nelson v. Muggridge is a race to watch. Will the people pick the connected Republican who outspent his opponent 10:1 and then told the Albany Herald, "Despite having opposition in the general election, Muggridge says he is "not running against anybody." If Nelson wins there is a good chance many more independents may challenge incumbents not facing political party opposition.

Wait...there is room in the Less County School system? During talks about an apartment complex they tried to make the schools an issue. When will politicians in Lee County quit lying and tell the people the truth?
