Is this something new? Because when I was in college just a few years ago, I did not have insurance and I was still admitted. And I have a little sister currently in college and she has no Insurance and neither do our parents.
It still takes some luck. Especially to find GOOD opportunities! Those are hard to come by these days! I know some people who have lots of determination, have worked hard, have completed college and are still having a hard time getting out on their own. That doesn't mean they haven't been trying and giving all they've got. And yeah, life IS a game of chance!
So one "bad" word makes me a gutter mouth? well so be it. You have no idea what kind of person I am. I'm sure you have spoken much worse. I can tell you are a hypocrite and a bigot and I no longer have the energy or desire to carry on with this petty bickering. I do hope you have a wonderful evening with your family.
OMG!!!!!! You mean, having a flat blade screwdriver in your possession means that you are going to commit or already have committed burglary??? OH CRAP!! I better run and get rid of all the ones my husband has in his shop!! And OH MY...I think I have one in my car...I better get rid of that STAT!!
Why do you say that?? You mean to tell me that you think I am the most responsible one here?? WOW that is so nice of you Jacob :) You have made my day!!
I agree with everything you stated. But, according to the police reports, the first call to 911 was made at 19:17, that is only 7:17 pm, that's not late and I don't know of any city that has a curfew of 7:00 pm. But I could be wrong. There would probably less crime and a higher number of high school and college graduates if teenagers weren't allowed on the streets past 7:00. Then they could focus on schoolwork and actually learn something!
The reason I stated that he was being rude and disrespectful was because of one of the articles I had read. The young gentleman was talking on his cell phone to his girlfriend. The girlfriend released a statement saying that she was on the phone with him when the altercation between the two first started and heard some of what happened before the phone went dead. And if you would have actually read the entire post that I wrote, then you would see that I never "made it sound like he just walked up and shot him". As a matter of fact, I stated, and I quote, "I do believe that the two got into an altercation." Now, how exactly does that sound like I believe that he just walked up and shot him??? What I believe (and yes, this is just my opinion, as I was not there) happened is that Zimmerman was following the young man and approached him (which he was instructed not to do, and it doesn't matter by who), he was being rather rude and the young man got rude back with him (as all teenagers will) an altercation occurred (at this point, I really don't have an opinion as to who started the physical part of the altercation) and Zimmerman shot and killed Martin. I believe it is a POSSIBILITY he shot Martin out of self-defense, seeing that there does appear to have been a physical altercation, but Zimmerman never should have approached Martin and none of this would have happened.
It doesn't matter if the kid was "acting 'thuggish'" or not. According to ALL articles I have read and news segments I have heard regarding this case the main points are all the same: the kid was walking down the street, talking on his cell phone, minding his own business. The adult disobeyed police orders and approached the kid. And the adult shot and killed the UNARMED kid.
Black, white, mexican...none of that should matter! I know it does, but it shouldn't!! An unarmed person was murdered because the shooter did not follow the orders that were given to him! Did he shoot in self-defense?? I don't know. Probably. I do believe that the two got into an altercation. I know, that if it was me, and I was walking down the street, going to a house that I was permitted to be at, and a stranger walked up to me and began to be rude and disrespectful to me, I would not just stand there and take it. I would stick up for myself also, as would anyone else here. And this was a 17 year old, and we all know how cocky they are! Their race does not matter, all teenagers have attitude problems, so ofcourse he was going to fight back! At 28, I would fight back!!
The fact of the matter is, The shooter NEVER should have approached the victim. He was instructed not to, and he done so anyways! And that's where it all went down hill!
