Caviar Joe needs to tighten the belt on his salary. How about those off-shore bank accounts that Phoebe has? Maybe they can use some of the savings there.
The notion of equality did not originate in the US but during the French Revolution. Lincoln was influenced more by the French Revolution and Germany's nation-state than the principles of our Founding Fathers. Evidently these lawyers believe the constitution is a living document and not textual.
The problem is that our congress is not a "do nothing" but now meets all the time and when not in session engaged in fundraising for reelection. If the congress only met a couple of times a year especially at the president's direction then it would be a "do nothing" legislative branch.
Agree that our state stands to benefit from deepening the Savannah Port. The only concern I have is the environmental impact from the dredging. If this can be worked out Georgia businesses will gain newer markets.
Nobody won or lost the Korean War. This is one reason N. Korea behaves this way. Another reason is the fact that we deployed missiles on the peninsula years after the armistice was signed. Since then N. Korea has developed a bunker mentality. A totalitarian state ruled by absolute dictatorship with limited resources and closed to the outside world. Most children there do not know that a man has landed on the moon.
Someone needs to check out who these lawmakers receive their campaign contributions from. I will bet several of the sponsors get money from the hospital alliance headed by the lobbyists Veazey or their new representatives. Georgia has one of the most liberal lobbying laws in the nation. Money talks at the Gold Dome in Atlanta.
This is the 10th anniversary for the elected war. If Iraq possessed WMD intended for the USA then I would have felt the war would have been justified. After billions of dollars and 5,000 American lives what has been gained? Wars of election are by choice and not self-defense. Since the fall of Hussein's brutal regime the region has become more dangerous with a civil war in Syria and Iran seeking hegemony with the potential of developing nuclear weapons. According to Bush/Cheney's logic we should have really invaded Iran and removed the theocracy from power but we blundered. Just like all other empires we are exhausting ourselves fighting endless wars with increasing debt. Remember after two world wars the British and French empires had to liquidate themselves. Our liquidation will be the closing of overseas bases. The world without the US will become a more dangerous place. Pax Americana is being jeopardized by the neocons and Wilsonian crusaders.

It is freedom of speech. If you don't like it don't listen to it or buy it. Same thing for rap music.

Could this be tied to socio-economic factors? Those living in high risk counties might not have access to sufficient health services.
