HOPE raises record amount

No matter what these volunteers say, the money DOES NOT stay here. It is sent to national headquarters, who dictate how it can be spent. It is wonderful that people gave this much money, but they should know that most of it WILL NOT help the cancer victims or help prevent cancer in south Georgia. I used to work for corporate. I know. Most people do not know that ACS funds are corporate spent, not LOCAL used. Look at ACS documents and you will see the high overhead they have to pay their salaries. Most of this money will pay salaries in Atlanta, not help people with cancer here.Very sad, but true.
