Don't forget pandering...lots and lots of pandering. I'll give the president that--he can work a crowd like nobody's business. The thing is, he chooses his crowds very methodically.
As a private business owner, Mr. Cathey can express his beliefs on gay marriage, and as long as he does not discriminate in hiring practices (which there's been no proof of) or in serving customers (again no proof of), the government CANNOT interfere. If people don't like what he said, don't eat there. I think the company will be fine!
Where his First Amendment right comes into play is when these various mayors state that they will not allow Chick-Fil-A into their city, through zoning ordinances or whatever flimsy excuse they want to come up with. They cannot do that, as it infringes on Mr. Cathey's right to free speech, and Chick-Fil-A can sue that particular city and win. It seems that tolerance extends to everyone BUT Christians these days.
All excellent examples of tax dollars squandered. I can see where Atlanta and the Metro areas need roads fixed and projects done, but as the Governor and Legislature are prone to forget, there is more to the State of Georgia than Atlanta and the surrounding counties. Plus, once any version of SPLOST is passed, it never seems to go away. I do fear that if pet projects are wanted, lawmakers will simply find another way to tax us. At least lawmakers across much of the state got the message that we're sick of being taxed with nothing of worth to show for it.
Why is the DCSS advertising on TV, with the bow-tied one speaking cheerfully about how ready the system is for school to start? That's a huge waste of money.
Well, not to worry...it's been removed so I won't "bully" you any more. I honestly don't know what your comment could have been interpreted any differently, but I will certainly "C" my way out...

"They" could be made up of a group of the "somebody"s who helped business owners build every small, medium or large business in the US.

It's also been reported. It's vulgar and disgusting. Personal insults are not warranted.

You are right about that. Too many people making way too much money, just drawing a check and drawing flies.
