So is this being done so to allow Phoebe to complete their purchase of Palmyra?
DUI-less safe is awaiting final blood alcohol test.
....not that I have first hand knowledge though
Great article! Many parents take sports way too seriously. It is easier to see it when you are on the outside. I was involved in Dixie League baseball for a while. Even after my kids were past that, I volunteered at a lot of tournaments and would see parents who were over the top about thier kids and their "future careers". Very few will even make it to play in college.
But then many parents also spend money on things like dance lessons, piano lessons, and very few professional dancers or musicians ever come out of that.
Well then why don't you go back and fix the college HOPE change that you made at the same time. You changed the rules retroactively on college students to look back at their high school grades in order to get the 100% funding, even if they were making good grades in college.
I wouldn't mind changing the GPA back to 2.5, but 2.0 is awfully low....In order to get 2.5 you only have to get half Bs and half Cs, which is a pretty low standard.
Very good comments by all. The problem is that the 95% who support the plan are not the ones showing up at the meetings. I hope the school board understands this.
I love the idea of food trucks!
But I wonder when the downtown manager says he doesn't "want to create too much competition" that has me scared. Competition is GOOD FOR THE CONSUMER. When the downtown manager has the power to say who is in and who is out, then the system is ripe for corruption. Isn't that what his predecessor was fired for?
good points, outsidelookinin. Also the money paid to him includes "all expenses". Typically for a job of this type there would be a temporary living allowance and meals. When you consider all that, it is probably less than the previous superintendent.
Hopefully this guy cleans house! Then it will be well worth it.
Less work for Georgians. Rate increases for all. Sounds like a bad deal to me. Not blaming Georgia Power, it is the environmentalists and over-regulating democrates that are forcing tihs move.
I heard on the radio that they will be buying wind power from the midwest. Yep rates will rise for everyone.
Good job to all involved!
David is a great guy. Unfortunately, he is one of the few who try to change the system by always "doing the right thing". I understand that he is tired of always fighting the system, and he has certainly put in his time. I just wish there were more like him willing to serve the public and make changes.
