How in the world would you think that someone is cheating in an online poll?! Come on now. If you look at the number of people voting... as of 9:38pm tonight over 16,776 people have voted over a 10-day period? That's averaging 69 votes PER HOUR, but those figures are not accurate because more people have voted these last couple days than when the poll started. Apparently Albany Herald website is a little overwhelmed right now. So have patience, it will take your vote it just won't take it as fast as you'd like. Believe me I know... I've been trying to vote tonight as well.

Unless I missed something in the last two days I haven't seen any AWFUL or HORRIBLE comments made by some people... except mr. bruno24 below... remember, we are not comparing apples to apples here... these are individual players in their own class rankings who have been nominated by someone to represent their school for Player of the Year. No, a GISA Class A Back-to-Back State Champion is not going to receive the same recognition as a GHSA player on paper, but if his school feels he deserves this award then they will rally for him. And, yes, I've heard of a "smart phone" but I was busy cheering my boys on to their 26th consecutive WIN and 2nd straight State Title ALL lead by Mason Worsham... I wan't worried about my phone! Proud to be a Wildcat!

Mason Worsham just led the Westwood Wildcats to a back-to-back GISA A State Championship tonight! He has been there to help lead them to back-to-back undefeated seasons (26-0). Mason so deserves this title, but even if he doesn't get Albany Herald's Football Player of the Year (because all the fans were busy watching him tonight and not on the computer voting for him), he is definitely Westwood's Player of the Year! So proud of you Mason and the rest of the Wildcat Family! Way to go Cats!!
