SGA was our first game of the year. Let's all just root for our teams here. People often belittle the little guy. This is a popularity vote plain and simple. We may be small but we are big in spirit. We saw this young man mature over 4 years and are proud of Mason. I know you are proud of Chris too. We all have our reasons for sending our kids where they go to school. I think our little school is world class in many ways.

Please everyone. Root for your candidate not against others. I think it shows no class to diss any of these fine young men. And we get mad when politicians do it. Vote for your candidate and try to convince others why they should vote but leave trash talk out of it. We can do better than that.

The fact they put that Westwood won didn't have anything to do with this poll. It is just the breaking news. Might we add that Westwood was picked to lose this game and won anyway. It would be great for all of the boys to be recognized but I think that the schools who have these athletes should be campaigning for these fine young men. When I see a young man who is a star with just a few votes, I think more poorly of the school and their school spirit than I do of the young man unless the school just thinks the athlete doesn't deserve it. But the campaigning that makes a difference isn't what the Herald has but the networks of our fans that are asking for votes. I think among the two leaders you'll see lots of fans who are voting. If your own school isn't going to support you, who will?
