Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, the manner in which these young ladies are being discussed is unacceptable. They are not the problem, clearly it is the adults. Everybody wants to be reactive, but lets be proactive. How many times have you volunteered your time to mentor a student DCHS, or any school for that matter. Furthermore, since we are in the business of writing letters; Where were your letters when we had one classroom set of science books? Where were your letters when my AP (Advance Placement) book did not have a front cover? Where were your letters when our band's brand new instruments were sent to the wrong school? Where were your letters when we could only make the news for a fight? Where were your letters of accolades all the years our band and chorale were requested around the world? I AM a former member of the DCHS danceline. I served as co-captain and captain. So, to your surprise, three years later, I am a Junior Mass Communications Major at FVSU with a 3.2 GPA, serving actively on my campus. Lesson to the ignorant people: Just because they dance does not mean they are worthless to society. If you are offended suggest that they clean up the dancing, but DO NOT insult their character or speak negatively on their futures. That is ignorant, immature, and savage.
