We need more people like Ms Campbell to speak out and fight the powerful Phoebe spin that so dominates our community leaders and media
The editorial statement that the current uncertainty of the Phoebe vs FTC issue is a hindrance to our economy is unsubstantiated and likely false. Were it not for the FTC's action, Albany would be doomed to high health care costs and poor quality because of the monopoly PHoebe would enjoy- that truly would be a hindrance to our economy.
The only way that the quality of health care and the health of the community's economy can be helped is if the FTC prevails at the administrative hearing and removes Phoebe from its monopolistic hold on Southwest GA
Ironically, Mr Wernick, the FTC is actually fighting to keep local health care resources from being centralized in your hands
Ironically, Mr Wernick, it is the FTC that is trying to keep you from centralizing all local health care resources in your hands. Competition is in health care is good for Albany. Let's hope the FTC can help shield our community from your monopolistic endeavors.
