Personally I feel Confederates do have that right even the KKK has that right....the point I try to make is that racial divisiveness has long been an issue holding back the progress of Albany and it is prevalent on both sides...

I will let you in on a little secret....TEACHERS DO OBSERVE EACH OTHER...as a matter of fact we are the only profession that is not governed by itself...AMA is governed by Doctors. Lawyers are governed by lawyers....Nurses are governed by nurses....we are governed by politicians...Are you a teacher?? Based on your comments you are not or if so not a good one....An effective teacher wants to know what strategies others are using that works....now do all of us do that....no they do not....but most of us do....We get all the blame and none of the credit and little pay for what we do....

It amazes me how some people use this board to make personal attacks or as a soapbox for their personal vendettas against people.....there are many counties where the Asst. Supreintendant is involved in the hiring process. Obviously some people know very little about a hiring process. Obviously the Supt. assigned athletics under his umbrella. I hope Mr. Joiner gets a fair shot. The success of the DHS football program will get a person who has a personal interest in the kids and the program itself. He is a DHS product and I am sure he loves his school and would have a more personal interest in its success and the kids involved. It seems to have worked out okay at AHS when they took that route. Please as a city and community lets attempt to come together and at least give people a chance and see how it turns out before we jump on the bandwagon and criticize all the time. I am also quite sure The county AD and perhaps the interim principal at DHS all have a role in this process.

Divisive comments are the only things the Albany Herald puts in the paper....what happened to the white kid was wrong....suspect charged and arrested.....admit it people what happened to Mr Martin was wrong....regardless of color...the difference is when black people protest there is an issue....I wish people would see injustice as that....an injustice regardless of color.
