They might "care and advocate" for these people, but leave the emotions out of it. They also make money off of these people and the service they provide. Let's be honest, money is the driving force behind this issue, not disabled people's well being.

Let me get this scraight...a $1.7 million collections deficit??? Sounds like some folks should have there WG&L cut off!!! As for the monthly overage...suprise, suprise! You up the fees and costs of services to the paying customers and your revenue goes up. That works with a captive clientel run by a Government agency. Try that in the private sector and let me know how it works out for you. Clowns! I love how this is twisted into a "good thing". This kinda stuff is what gives Albany a bad name and why folks don't want to stay here!

urbanpurpose...aka Blair, quit trying to toot your horn! You can't manage a lease agreement for the skate park, much less a 14.5 million dollar project. Sure looks good on a resume though!

The CM acts as an Owner's rep to make sure his interests are in order. This cost would not be included in the Contractor's cost as there would be a conflict of interest. Some cities/counties provide their own CM services and some subcontract it out. Hope that gives you some insight into the process.

Lane Rosen is a hippy manchild that lives in a treehouse! Real nice guy, but seasoned businessman not!

I agree with you totally Sherwood...any law abiding citizen should be able to own any weapon or "arm" that the Government can. The intent from our founding fathers was to limit the powers of the Government as they had just defeated Tyranny. However, citizens today do not know or understand the dangers of tyranny due to our Bill of Rights. Read some of the quotes from our founding fathers as pertains to the Bill of Rights...pretty good stuff if you love America and freedom.

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

"Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not."

Both from Thomas Jefferson

I'm right there with you Cartman...maybe we should look into the freedoms aloted to the media through the Constitution. Surely our founding fathers didn't factor in internet, radio and television when this was developed. Basically what I'm saying to the media and all other liberals that are so hell bent on banning stuff they don't like or agree with is: Be careful what you ask for, you could be next. If the Government thinks they have the power to alter any part of the Bill of Rights, your little piece of the pie could be next!

Three stars isn't that bad....blah, blah, blah! We used to be five star! I don't think the Chamber is fully to blame though. Lack of growth due to crime and the poor reputation our school system currently has are probably the main culprits. Employers leave here every month and not to many think about planting roots. You can't blame the Chamber for that, you can only blame the average DoCo citizen!
