The majority of blacks in Albany will always vote based on color regardless of a candidates qualifications. I personally listened to the candidate debate because I wanted to hear out of each one's mouth what they wanted to accomplish if elected. B.J. was the most well spoken candidate and regardless of a person's ideas, they should at least be able to speak clearly to a potential company wanting to move here. B.J. also stood up and stated the fact that Albany needed a major overhaul. Mrs. Hubbard seems to be more in line with our current leadership and would not admit to any wrong doings that have happened since she was in office. She should also consider take a Public Speaking course before she is sworn in regardless of her education. We need our mayor to represent the city as best as she can.
What do you mean by black folks rising to the top and doing what they've always done? That's not saying much based on what we have seen here in Albany. I hate to say but it seems that what they are really doing is "nothing" while everything around them goes to hell.
Jacob I believe what you are describing is affirmative action, which is what is wrong with our country now.
Once again the voters of Albany show that they are content with the way this town is being run into the ground by a bunch of unqualified idiots.
