The lodge, inn, hotel or where ever could simply have the Bible available at the front desk, just like they have extra amenities, such as pillows, shampoo, etc. Make the Bible, Koran,or other religious material available upon request. In todays world of technology, most folks have the information right at their fingertips, so I fail to see what all the fuss is about.
There's a great line in the movie "Parental Guidance" that Billy Crystal delivers after he has chased a grandchild to the front of a packed auditorium. He has raised his hand above the child's rear-end and the audience gasps getting his attention when he states: "these kids hear everything but the word NO." He's right! Being a parent means being responsible for the care of someone other than yourself. On a more positive note, this past weekend. I actually overheard children giving the Blessing before the meal at their table, restoring my faith in that there still are some parents who teach honorable values.
The Longriders was filmed in Sasser and Parrott , Ga. There is a museum in Parrott that houses memorabilia from the event. There is no mention of Westville.

We all grieve in our own way and there are members of his family that feels the community is not respectful of their feelings in their push to get a road named for him. It seems that every other week his name is on the broadcast news as well as the newspaper keeping their loss front and center, when all the family wants is to allow him to rest in peace without all the decorum.
I was all for this until I heard that some of his family members just want to let him rest in peace without constantly seeing his name in the news. Putting his name on a road will only be a constant reminder of their loss. We all grieve in our own way and well meaning folks are not considering the feelings of all the family members who want to remember him in their own way.
