I pay about 3x as much in Lee County as I did in the last state I lived in for a comparable house value. But, it would be about 4x as much in Dougherty County.

The what, when, and where was in a 37 page .pdf document in an earlier article about the expenses. Very interesting read. Since it looks like they will be repaying the funds, it looks like they're saying "guilty."

I thought the schools want no part of churches? What are you and your church doing to set the pace for the rest of the churches in town in regards to what it means to support the schools? I agree with the sister. I'd love to hear your ideas. Also, please tell us exactly what a Partner in Excellence is supposed to do. I'm part of an organization that is a Partner in Excellence with a school, so I just want to be sure we meet the criteria.

Wow. Glad the board is finally owning up to the mistake. I've been reading the "More Like this Story" links at the end of the article. As someone that moved here who's not from the area, all I can say is "wow."

The DOE instructed for the principal position to be posted on 10/9. #34 said yesterday he will be contacting them with a recommendation. Even if you do have a plan already in place, when the folks with the check tell you to do something, as Coleman says, you do it.

Yes, this will end well.

Someone else got told "no" in regards to local politics. Wait for the lawsuit. Wonder who will lead the charge this time?

But, props to them for still having the giveaway. Hopefully some with legitimate needs will benefit.
