First off Commissioner Hines isn't costing the taxpayers anything it's Melissa Strothers who wants to bring this into the courts and not accept that she lost fair and square. It amazes me how people want to use the race and "holy than thou" against someone when things are not going their way. So since she didn't receive the fair amount of votes needed to win I'll just create a ruckus or tie up the court system with my whining...lady please it's over and the people who did vote and were counted made their decision now live with it. Really tired of my tax dollars being wasted on frivolous lawsuits and irresponsible people.
So sick of hearing about all of this regardless of what color anyone is or isn't because this should have been handled long before the election day arrived. Put up or shut up---but hurry up and get it done please. Whoever is to blame for this mess needs to be reprimanded and the citizens given a chance to either cast their ballots again and be informed properly that Mrs. Calhoun is "NOT" on the ballot nor will she be for this district. Next time we can just hope the election office gets it right and avoid this type of mess.
Why is Mrs. Strother sounding like a sore loser??? Possibly because she is at this point by going to this extreme to get votes that were not cast for you. Just admit you lost and keep it moving. There is absolutely no justification in what you are doing now by causing undue stress upon the citizens in your Ward. Ok Mrs. Calhoun there was a discrepancy in your situation and unfortunately you had to pay for it by not being able to be on the ballot, but it's time for you to move on too. Ladies, the voters have made their decision so now just live with it and go back to your lives....really tired of hearing about you two!!!
