I thought the "that's the way we always have done it " holds water here. It's sad that many kids go hungry because the system isn't fare for the struggling honest family.. They are denied assistance because of honesty when they get past their pride to belittle them selves to even ask. I think the restitution should be Riggings pay for at least 4 children's lunch for the same amount of time she rode the system for hers. Denied any part of the DCSS or Scouting. It's high time honest an law abiding people take back a broken system.

Things could be worse then a grass clippings and appearance. Code enforcement has way more important citations to write.

There's nothing funny about breaking the law.Nor should the crime that an individual commits be put to print. Sure it's public record, it's just sometimes TMI. Why would we want in sorts give the spotlight to crime, inflating the ego's of the people whom just do not have regard of the law? There's a zillion other things the Herald could use this space for that is geared to more positive things that happen around our community. Not a reminder of the pathetic dark side we know that already exist.

Sister Ruby , don't apologize. It was the first comment posted , it deserved to stay. we all read bubba's bs an its well known he has it in for you in many ways . You have the right to freedom of speech , as well as the trash the squawk is about, freedom of the press. we all know that the squawks are sent in an they choose these at their will. Makes me think we didn't send in a squawk honoring this day.Lets all remember to bomb bard the squeeker box next year on the 7th 8th 9th an 10th they will fill the whole column. Thanks sister for all your great comments , your witticism an knowledge is honorable.

Our rights of the many freedoms we have as Americans, are the reasons so many want to be part of the this great country. Unfortunately they also are the reasons many want to destroy us. We may bicker about our political differences , religions ,taxes, personal views etc. Tread on us an we'll show the greatest power of unity to the world .I'll never forget this day an what i was doing at the time of this travesty to our country, nor will i forget how i felt seeing the pride of unity of our fellow Americans for weeks that followed. Even now we will take time out of our hectic day to remember the price of freedom isn't free . God bless you an God bless this great nation !!!!!!! As for the squawk, that's exactly what makes our country unique. It may not have been the appropriate one for today, but its non the less freedom of speech an one of our rights.

I thought about this today,an the last thing i want is a police officer coming an waking me up at 330am in the morning ,that would cause more of a commotion then the ticket . I'd first have chest beating heart palpitations then a since of major paranoia that someone in my family was hurt or even worse. Quickly followed by a ride in the ambulance to the ER for a breath stopping anxiety attack . Thank goodness you got a ticket, an the officer didn't bother you. Press on good citizen pay the fine. But it is one you can hold against your wife for years.

I wish the young gal well, I think the offer she was given was just ,training, travel an the knowledge to become better in the future. Sadly , the wage she took will put her in the just above poverty level. If she has housing cost, student loans, auto payment insurance , health insurance, not to mention food, clothes, entertainment ,lets not forget to start a 401 or personal retirement. It's not going to be easy an 1 job wont cover these living expenses. She'll be making to much to receive any assistance, an not enough to make the ends meet. I would have to agree with sherwood on this, but I do wish the gal well.
