There are many short comings in Dougherty County but the Dougherty County Police is not one of them. The leadership of Chief don Cheek has always been above reproach. The Church I serve is in the County and no matter when or what I called Chief Cheek on he or his officers acted promptly, professional and with great courtesy. Thanks Chief for your service. With prayer and great resolve I know you will beat this too. Remember you are blessed of the Lord.

Many years ago Nikita Khrushchev made a speech to a group about how Stalin was one of the most ruthless dictators and had killed thousands of his own people. Someone in the audience shouted, “You were in his administration, why didn’t you stop him”? Mr. Khrushchev looked up quickly and with a stern voice shouted, “Who said that”? After a long pause no one said a word. Mr. Khrushchev then said, "now you know". It is so easy to call someone out but it is hard to take the plow in your hand.

I usually read Thomas Sowell with a sense of pity, but this article is beyond belief. Mr. Sowell has really lost all sense of time and place. It is my prayer and hope one day he will realize the harm he has done to a society that is trying to become a more perfect Union. It is easy to come out of the darkness; the challenge is not to go to sleep once you come into the light.

This is one of the problems I see with trying to instill value in youth today. We have to trout out our accomplishments in order to prove that we have worth. Who care what you have accomplish, just be a just and honorable person and your gifts will make place for you. Please stop with the political commericals. This is a bunch of sour grapes. Mr. Krauthammer has never had to make a decision of life or death. So he stands on the sideline and poke fun at the leader of the free world. He has bought into the good boy story; "We Will Make Obama a One Turn President". This means they will do whatever it takes to make sure that happens, even if it brings the country down. As a 22+ year veteran with 18 months in Vietnam as a Combat Infantryman I spit at him and his crew of backyard warriors.
