Superintendent Joshua Murfree has been released from his contract and that was the correct thing to do considering the overall lack of confidence that had been expressed repeatedly. Now we need to go outside of the county to a successful school district and find a qualified person to take his place, but what we need more than that is parents and grandparents that are willing to get their hands dirty for the sake of our children and grandchildren. Partners in Excellence that have pledged to help particular school need to do what they said they would instead of just using the title to glorify themselves and their businesses. There are 300 plus churches in Albany that could make sure our school teachers and staffs have the support they so desperately need. Schools are for Education not raising children.
