Bishop pens letter pleading with USPS on mail processing facilities May 22, 2013
I agree that it's ok to stop Saturday delivery. I think it's ok to close the downtown post office. That is the problem with folks now adays, everyone thinks the post office should take cost cutting measures as long as it doesn't impact them personally. The post office needs a radical restructure to become profitable. If it means the downtown office goes, so be it.
well, if the benefits disappeared as the jobs returned people would go to work. they would have to. If you keep the same freebees, nothing will change no matter what the job climate is.
Yeah, seems like alot of people think they are somebody just because of their job and laws don't apply to them. I doubt very seriously she thinks differently of herself and her husband. She just pissed that the threat it didn't work.
Last time I looked, Kia was made right here is Georgia. BMW is made in South Carolina, Honda is made in Tennessee. Those are AMERICAN jobs for AMERICAN workers. Yes, part of the money does go back to Japan and South Korea, but I would rather have my friends and neighbors biuld them for those companies than be jobless.
Dear NotVinceDooly. I am glad you have moved somewhere else. It is people like you who are the problem. Trash has nothing to do with population make-up. I assure you just as much trash comes from the inbred rednecks who think their pick-up truck beds are trash cans that miraculously clean themselves as it does from any other demographic. If you will note, the article is based in Lee County. Isn't that supposed to be the great white bastion of SW Georgia? So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
Thank you sir for the hoist. I suspect most any service member in a bordello would spend all of their hard earned cash!!!! You know, among all of the BS that flies here, there are some pretty good ideas. Some of them just need to be articulated better.
As a retired drunk sailor, I am offended to be compaired to a politician.
Then it sounds to like ASU did not/does not have proper institutional controls in place to properly vett or monitor for "rogue" administrators.
I don't think most people object to Fine arts and it's teaching. I, like I suspect the Ray Charles Foundation probably did, do take exception to a group or entity taking my money and using it for purposes other than what it was intended. Taking 2 Million to fund "scholarships" was not what Mr. Charles gave that money to ASU to use. It was pretty stupid and arrogant of ASU to think that it could do it. But, that is pretty much how things run in Albany.
I think government is a big part of the problem. We as parents and neighbors need to fix this problem. We need to monitor our children. My children had video games, but the game console was in the living room and we knew what games our kids played and how long they played. Shoot them up games were not allowed in our house. That's called parenting. If our kids are having trouble, get them the help they need. Alot of parents want to believe their kids would not do something like that but most of them don't even know who their kids are because they leave them alone in their rooms doing God knows what. It is a very worthy sacrifice to be a parent. There are lots of movies I missed when my kids were at home, alot of dinners we didn't go to until we knew our children wouldn't ruin the evening for eveyone. Now you see people taking newborns and little children to "Adult" movies because they didn't want to miss the movie. Give me a break. And we wonder why people are so mean.
