The Herald is still printed daily, but it is my understanding that it is being printed elsewhere now, not here in Albany.
Congratulations to Miss Emily. An award that is well deserved.
I buy groceries at Harvey's, but my essentials at Wal-mart due to the cost being cheaper. I do not buy any groceries at Wal-Mart. Went into Winn-dixie on Sylvester Road on sunday and I can honestly see why they are closing that store. They had nothing there that was advertised and said they would not until Tuesday. In addition to that, the smell in there was horrendous. If I do shop at Winn-dixie, it is normally the one in Lee County near work.
We could sure use a restaurant like Mama Jean's Country Cooking downtown. Although I work near the mall, I would eat there. You just do not have anywhere like that anymore. BJ's is good, but it is the same old stuff there everyday. We need variety.
If you truly need the help, I have no problem with you getting help. But STOP taking advantage of the system. When will the government wake up and put an end to all of this? I get so tired of being in line behind someone paying with food stamps for a buggy full of name brand everything then walk outside and get into an expensive SUV or BMW. My husband and I both work full time jobs and we do not eat like these people.
I personally will not go to Phoebe if I can help it. For them to make the medical field in this area a monpoly is completely wrong. I am past child bearing years, but my children are not. They should have a choice on where to give birth.
Regardless of what the child may have done to provoke the teacher, the child should not have been slapped in the face. The child should have been taken to the principal's office for punishment but not slapped.
My sentiments exactly.
