Of course The Hospital Authority is corrupt! Any members with integrity should resign before the Commission replaces them. Maybe not happening this week?! Herald, this is another example of an article that many people can't comment on from their Facebook page. Phoebe thumbs their nose at The Supreme Court, you don't think they would punish the little people?

Funny that much larger and more serious papers, including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The New York Times, have wonderful comments sections without resorting to Facebook. Inappropriate content is flagged and removed. Reader comments illuminate and expand the editorial content.

This change will stifle the free exchange of information and concerns regarding the very serious issues facing our area. I am not the only one who fears retaliation from my employer, Phoebe, or the church for expressing my views. Sure, freedom is abused sometimes, but freedom is messy. The Herald has failed to set and enforce reasonable standards, and now it's throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Many of us find Facebook absurd and don't participate. I wish you well but won't be checking the website as often.
