Dont be so negative unless you have been to one of these nights. We have taken our grand children to almost every one and had a great time without incident. I enjoy the movie in the park nights. Police are always there and NEVER saw any trouble. I would be the first to speak out if it were any different.

Humm Miami how many illegal’s live there? Statistics show 1.894 per 100 people. Yet The Obama administration still feels there is no reason to punish them for being illegal. Just sayin. Yet they have no ideals how to fix the social security ID theft that is taking place and has been for years now. The only one paying for it is the poor soul that had there ID number stolen and used. My grandson at 2 had his stolen and they basicly said there wasnt much they ( SSI ) could do about it. That person was recieving goverment benifits and probibly still is.

I bet Mr. Brooks came down on his rent enough for them to make a profit. Seems like whatever restraunt is in there they have a hard time paying all that rent and staying open. We know they have the business, its always packed at lunch. Mr. Brooks ought to sell off some of those propertys and let downtown grow and prosper, It has all the potental and charm, dig deeper into why it cannot work.

SMHagain: You cant see the need or want for it becouse you must not work for the departments. The police departments have a huge problem with the criminals and scanners. If it will keep our officers safe and give them the upper hand than I say give them the money they need. Id rather see it spent there than on something that dosnt concern public safety. This is by no means a want its a need.

I agree with you 100%. I am a gun owner myself, and I believe in the right to bear arms. With that being said I firmly believe we need to ban all military style assault weapons from normal citizens. I realize criminals can get their hands on them but why make it easier for them? Furthermore I’m am disgusted at the responses I get from folks about it’s my rights to be able to own one, They attend that they are just enthusiast and it’s a hobby. So let me ask you this question. Is your Hobby or enthusiasm worth more than potentially saving a child’s, or other human beings life? That’s what you are saying when you use this excuse. The police trying to protect us do not use these weapons in everyday situations, yet the criminals they encounter have them. They aren’t purchasing them with their legal licenses; they are stealing them from people who purchased legally.

I agree about taking God ot of our schools. Parents are not teaching their children values. I also believe we need a ban on all assult rifles. There is no logical reason for a plane citicen owning one of these. A pistol or hunting rifle is one thing but these ak47's ect. need to be outlawed. What is a good reason for having one? You cant hunt with them, the only thing they were made for was shooting multipule rounds at the same time. It is what it is, an ASSULT rifle I am all for owning a weapon, but we have to do something.

For such a small town with what seems like big problems at times, we do have a handfull of great roll models for our children. Dont forget Anthony Branch, Dallas Davidson, Luke Bryan, and Phillip Phillips. All of these are people, along with Buster make Albany, and Lee County proud.

Velvet Riggins, Anita Williams-Brown, and Milton "June Bug" Griffin MUST BE NEXT. Clean house completley. # 34 didnt get there on his own. This incompetent board put him there. We must keep the Momentum going and finish the job that needs to be done. If you ask me he is responsable but not all alone. The Joke of a Board we have is just as responsable as he is. I kinda feel like he is the fall guy and has been ever since they hired him. Why else take # 34? Entitlement position How did that work out? Not to good !!!
