Carlton, I would invite you to have been a White resident of the Navy Street Housing Complex in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn in the late fifties and early sixties. Or just walk through the area on your way to the Myrtle Ave. Ell. Unless you were a known, you would be harassed, if not directly assaulted. Now at the time it meant either a Mau-Mau, Chaplain or to some extend a Bishop associate. Or known to have a short temper and quick with a knife. Believe me prejudice works in both directions. My Father often stated that everyone needs someone to look down on as lesser than them. If you need more proof, speak to a Hassidic Jew out of Williamsburg, they tended to be hated and distrusted by all.

The Herald doesn't want to get sued any more than anyone else does. They have to be aware of who they are permitting to post, and especially aware of their wording. Not that anything be too plainly stated, as in cursing, or blatently false. Character assisination suits are alive and well, and just at a guess I would suspect the Herald has the deep pockets the Lawyers like to go after. You do realize that some unscrupulous Lawyers have people submitting things to provoke a law suit? Remember the great Handicapped Access Law Suits where one Complaintent admitted he never even went to the store in question. Had only been advised by a Lawyer's Para to file complaints against all these stores that did not comply. Hoping these would be a settlement instead of a trial.

They have the time to do this, yet not the time to deal with the Church's use of the pulpit as a political platform, complete with the church signs making political statements. Also makes one wonder how long, and how many Administrations have been doing this but avoided gertting caught

He said, she said, is difficult to contridict under the ever watchfull eye of the video. Now fear of retaliation is always there. Especially in schools with clicks, let alone gangs. It is time control of the Schools, and the Prisons is taken back by the authorities. If this requires corporal punishment, then so be it. I am tired of hearing we can't do anything with long timers because they have nothing to lose and there isn't anything we can do to them. Whell there needs to be something, even if it involves a set count of offense for Capital punishment. In Schools, the students need to respect all the Teachers, or be forced to see the light.

Why didn't fplks turn him in without the reward? I would think sex offenders would fall outside of the don't snitch rules.

If you were a parent of a child in one of the low ranking schools, wouldn't you demand to know what is being done to raise the level of your childs school? Wouldn't you want some of those dedicated teachers at the good schools distributed throughout the system to assist your child in the school they were trapped in? Wouldn't you want Administrators with a demonstrated excellent track record in every school? Or would you sit back and settle for the current situation because there are so many that would lose employment if stricter standards were imposed without excuses?

I think they accidentally typed in instead of and. Either way I sleep lighter in my bed, listening for the Black Helicopters.

Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't. To large a Police presence and some Lawyer will claim you are intimidating the people from using the facility. Too small a presence and the Lawyer will claim you failed to address Security concerns you either knew or should have known you had. As was demonstrated in Tifton, it has been a known fact if a fugitive's relative has an appointment, or is in the emergency room, that fugitive may just show up. US Marshals will be waiting for them, but one has to be real careful when affecting an arrest.
