For the record, he did not cuss at a student the first time he was suspended. He cussed in front of a student. In fact, I am not sure if the word he used is even considered a cuss word anymore..."quit your bitchin!" Is that considered cussing? For the second offense, it involved a student eating chips in the classroom which is against school rules. However this student has "behavior issues" and teachers are not supposed to provoke the student...these students are not babies. They are high school students, some 18 years old. No, it is not professional to cuss in front of students. But, I can in most cases the teacher was cussed at first.
It is waste of time, not waist... you are complaining about the inferior education the DCSS students are receiving. I wonder where you went to school? Isn't there a saying about stones and glass houses?
I truly believe if mr. Heard really wanted to help the youth of Dougherty County that he would have decided to run before now. He even commented that "he did not want to run" and suggested that he only did it because he could not find anyone else to go against Lane Price. If he wants to help the children, he can become a mentor or set up some youth programs at the schools.
Global teachers research and resources is a company that takes teachers from other countries (mainly India) and finds them jobs in the United States. The DCSS has used them to bring over high school math and science teachers. While a few have been okay teachers, the majority only last a year or two. The students can not understand them when they speak and the teachers can not handle classroom behavior. A retired DCSS supervisor hinted to me that some of the DCSS bigwigs received free trips to India for recruiting purposes.
