I have to ride thriough several school zones each morning while traveling down Oakridge. I have only seen 1 police obey the school zone speed. Most of them have their cell phones to their ears and are just speeding away. I wonder how they enforce the law. I know we have the no texting and driving law here in Ga but I am trying ti figure out is it any safer for police to type and drive on the compouters they have in the car, I saw one almost run the light on mock road because he was typing and I guess he just assumed the light was green. I would like to think that typing and driving is just as dangerous as texting and driving. Oh I have a good one so I was behind an officer going up Oglethrope blvd. he had no brake lights at all, so I say to myself I know that the police are supposed to check their lights and signals before they start duty, so why does he not have any brake lights and to top it off once I pulled up beside him to call him out on it guess what he began to do, Put on his seatbelt. I thought that was so wonderful of him to finally decide to wear one. He said I am turning around now to go back to the station Thank you. Then on top of that they come out to my house someone stole some things from my garage, I show them the video tape, a guy from the neighborhood identified the guy, my husband took the police to the young man house and guess what nothing still was done I have yet to hear anything. If you do not live on a certain side of town the police could really care less. They handle policing different according to the side of town you live on. Hey but they are albany's finest
