Former President Jimmy Carter is not scheduled to teach Sunday school on Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church, located at 148 Ga. Highway 45 N. in Plains. The Sunday school class starts at 10 a.m. and is preceded by an orientation period at 9 a.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. SPECIAL EVENTSThe Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, at 7470 River Road in Camilla, will be holding prayer and revival meetings Monday through Friday. The prayer meeting will be at 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday with preaching starting on Wednesday with the Rev. A. D. Brown of Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Leesburg as guest minister. Preaching services start at 7 p.m. nightly.

Saco Missionary Baptist Church, at 1629 Saco Church Road in Pelham, is conducting annual revival services at 7 p.m. July 30-Aug.1. The evangelist for the week is the Rev. B.R. Fulton of Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church in Tampa, Fla.

First Albany Deliverance Church is hosting its Funfest Albany carnival beginning at 11 a.m. on Aug. 3 at 1402 S. Slappey Blvd. Food, rides, carnival style midway games and more. Free admission and free parking is available. For more information call (229) 436-7707.
