ALBANY — Looking to get out of the house this weekend? Here are eight events happening in the area close to home or a short drive away:

♦ Albany-Dougherty County Kiwanis Club Pancake Run, Breakfast and One Mile Fun Run: 8-11 a.m. Saturday, 2126 Edgewater Drive. Registration ends Friday: $15 for in-person and virtual 5k; $10 for fun run; $8 for breakfast only.

♦ Three Dog Night live — Albany Municipal Auditorium: 7:30 p.m. Friday.

♦ Jay Morris Group at the Grille House, Downtown Albany: 8 p.m. Friday; Jazz at the Grille House: 8-11 p.m. Saturday.

♦ Georgia Off-Road ⅛-scale Championship Series: 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Chehaw Park.

♦ Country Music and Melon Patch Weekend at Mark’s Melon Patch, Sasser: Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., flashlight corn maze 7 p.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday 1 p.m.-6 p.m. Events and live music throughout the day. All-inclusive pass $20 or priced by activity.

♦ High Rock Music and Makers Festival: Pitts (near Cordele), Music, crafts and activities, 11 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Admission, $10.

♦ Touchdown and Tunes hosted by the Lily Pad: 6-11 p.m. Saturday at Austin’s Firegrill & Oyster Bar. Featuring football, music, food and silent auction.
