Romney wins Georgia

Citizens turn out to cast votes at Palmyra Methodist Church in Albany.

Atlanta U.S. Rep. John Lewis and several colleagues are pushing a bill that would automatically register people to vote whose names are on existing records held by departments of motor vehicles, public assistance programs and other databases.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the bill would allow citizens to opt out of registration. and allow registration right up to election day.

It also would require states to allow registration up to Election Day.
