James Houston Davis
James "Teddy" Houston Theodore Davis was born on November 24, 1961 and died on December 31, 2018 at Pruitt Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held, Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Re. John F. Williams will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until funeral time.
He worked at Abbott's Food Center as a meat cutter and Henderson Farms. He enjoyed talking to his friends and family and loved NASCAR, wrestling and Georgia football.
Survivors include his sister, Teresa Davis of Albany, his wife, Missy Davis of Newton, GA, his son, Eric J. Davis and his wife, Trudy of Murfreesboro, TN, a daughter, Lucretia Nicole Davis of Newton, GA, a grand daughter, Mackensie Davis, a nephew, Matthew Davis of Albany, uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Mort (Gail) Collins, Mrs. Barbara McFadden, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry (Judy) Strawder and Mrs. Janie Martin Woolard (Buddy) and several cousins. He was especially close to Susie Strawder Rooks and he considered her his second mom.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Annelle Davis, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Strawder, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Davis, his brothers, Richard and Eddie Davis, aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Bob (Helen) Faulk, Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Bobbie) Davis, Mr. Leo Strawder, Mr. Marion Martin, Mr. Mac McFadden and his cousins, Jerry Strawder, Jr., Mr. Lane and Jimmy Davis, Mr. Robin Hart and Paul Faulk.
