Terrell Academy pitcher Daviel Myers was one of four Terrell Academy Eagles named to the GISA All State baseball team. Third baseman Jay Myrdock was also named. Garrett Sloan and Ross West were the other two.

The All-Region and All-State baseball selections include players from the Terrell Academy Eagles and the Deerfield-Windsor Knights. Four Eagles earned All-State recognition in Class AA and one player from Deerfield earned that recognition in AAA.

Senior left-hander pitcher Daniel Myers, junior right-hander Garrett Sloan, junior outfielder Ross West and freshman third baseman Jay Murdock were all named All-State by the GISA.

Murdock was the only freshman in the state selected to the All-State team. The Eagles finished with a 23-9 record overall and took the the runner-up spot in the state finals after falling to Edmund Burke Academy in the state championship.

Those same four players were named to the Region 3AA team along with shortstop Cameron Jones, first baseman Ethan Gay and outfielder Que Wright.

All of those Eagles will return for the baseball season next year, except Myers who graduated.

In the AAA classification, Deerfield-Windsor junior Joe Morgan was selected as All-State and All Region. Jack Kimbrel and Drew Reich were named to the All-Region team along with Morgan.

Kimbrel graduated in May, but Morgan and Reich should be back for the Knights next season.
