Behind the Mask: Phoebe’s front-line heroes

ALBANY — For more than a year and a half, the front-line heroes at Phoebe Putney Health System have joined their fellows across the country — indeed, around the world — in risking their very lives every day to battle an insidious and unseen foe: COVID-19.
Because individuals like these are willing to put their lives on the line, we all live with the hope that one day the ongoing battle will be won and we will see an end to the death and destruction of the virus that has impacted each of us.
The community joins Phoebe in saluting its health care heroes … behind the masks.
