ALBANY — Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful will host a free document-shredding event in the parking lot behind the Albany Civic Center Saturday at Front Street and Mercer Avenue.

Sponsored by KADB and River Mill Data Management, the event gives citizens an opportunity to deter identity theft by shredding documents that contain personal information. Shredding will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.
