Casting Crowns to perform at Wild Adventures Theme Park

VALDOSTA — Wild Adventures Theme Park kicks off its Splash Island Nights series tonight with music, food and fun at the water park, and Christian rockers Casting Crowns will perform as part of Wild Adventures’ 2015 concert series on Saturday.

Grammy and Dove Award winners Casting Crowns, whose body of work includes certified gold singles “Voice of Truth,” “East to West,” “Praise You in this Storm” and “Who Am I,” will play starting at 8 p.m. Saturday at the park’s All-Star Amphitheater.

Splash Island Water Park will remain open until 10 p.m. on Friday nights in June and July with its guest-favorite pool party. Patrons can enjoy music provided by a DJ, take part in dance contests and games, and enjoy a special buffet while splashing under the stars on their favorite water rides.

The Casting Crowns concert and Splash Island Nights are included in daily ticket purchases or for season pass holders.

Royal Blood to play Atlanta’s Center Stage

ATLANTA — Royal Blood, whose debut self-titled album topped the UK album chart upon its release last August, will perform June 13 at Center Stage in Atlanta.

The band, which recently won both NME and Brit Awards in their home country, is touring now in support of “Royal Blood.” In addition to playing most of the UK festivals, they’ve done European shows with Arctic Monkeys, Portugal the Man and the Pixies. Their planned takeover of the U.S. includes opening slots with Foo Fighters.

Royal Blood, which includes bassist/singer Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher, have released the single “Figure It Out.”
