CARTER SCHEDULE

President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday school on Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church, 148 Georgia 45 Highway North, Plains. The Sunday school class starts at 10 a.m. and is preceded by an orientation period at 9 a.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. The church building opens at 7:30 a.m. Please note Carter’s schedule is subject to change. Visit the church website at www.mbcplains.org.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Week of Pentecost will be June 1-5 at Evangelical Faith Vision Ministries, 1506 S. Slappey Blvd., with the theme “One in the Holy Ghost: The Spirit of Unity.” Conference speakers will be June 1, Pastor Frances Register, Donalsonville Holiness Deliverance, Donalsonville, and Overseer Sabrina Revills, Eagles’ Nest Deliverance Tabernacle, Thomasville; June 2, Pastor Lindsay Register, Tifton Holiness Deliverance Church, Tifton, and Teacher Avery Hudson, Evangelical Faith Vision Ministries, and June 5, Apostle Felix L. Revills, senior pastor, Evangelical Faith Vision Ministries. The conference will begin at 7 p.m. June 1-2 and at 11 a.m. June 5.

First Baptist Church of Putney will conduct its 54th Homecoming on Sunday. At 9:45 a.m. will be The Masters Men + 1. The Rev. Keith Travis will be guest speaker at 10:55 a.m. Dinner will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Gillionville Baptist Church is hosting a Kids’ Camp on discipleship July 17-21 for those who have completed 3rd-5th grades. The last two days of camp will be held at Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta. Cost is $175. Contact the church office for information at (229) 435-9738.

Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church will observe its annual Women In Worship services on Sunday, May 22. The theme is “Women Knowing Christ and Making Christ Known.” The observance will start with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m., followed by morning worship at 11 a.m. with Sister Robin Elzia Calhoun as speaker, and will conclude Women In Worship services at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Carmen Caldwell as guest speaker.
