Thank you, Nathan Davis, for your service to the people of Albany. You’ve helped us get through some interesting challenges. With the group we have on the commission now, you may be getting out at just the right time.

First, Sam Alito mans up and blames his wife. Now he tells us the only place his opinions count is at work. Grow a pair, Sammy.

If Lee county passes no school property tax for seniors, those 3,148 people that moved away from Dougherty County since 2020 will be a drop in the bucket. What is left of the seniors will be headed to Lee. I have never had a child in the Dougherty School System but pay property tax of $315 a month. That is 1/6 of my Social Security for the year.

Out-of-town landlords are ruining Albany, and members of the city commission are part of the problem.

Great article in Saturday’s Albany Herald about the couple’s (Sam and Jimmy) private life. They are real sweet people; I have only meet them once.

Thank goodness for Mr. Yarbrough on Tuesday’s editorial page.

Thank you to the Flint River Golf Course for repairing the golf cart paths. It is very much appreciated.

We’ve already had one Teflon Don (Gotti). Let’s don’t, pray to God, have another one.

“One question only!” Biden screams at reporters. Fletcher, your clown, your chosen one is a demented, belligerent liar, lifelong racist and documented pervert. When will you finally write the truth about the horrible damage Biden has done to our nation?

The city is going broke, so they will have to put up more speed cameras and raise utility rates.

To the person(s) who continues to gripe about having to get out of your car to drop off mail at the Meredyth Post Office (and what a hardship that must be), I wouldn’t expect much cooperation from a facility where mail is stolen inside the post office.

MAGA stands for “Make America Germany Again” … 1938 version.

There are far too many people in Albany who exist by working the system and too many politicians who cater to them.

With the post office almost non-functional these days, remember this DEI fact: The post office today is 53% minority employees. Biden could fire the postmaster general, but it would do no good. It is the employees, stupid.

Trump’s lawyers were instructed not to talk about the law in closing statements. That made it impossible to defend their client against breaking a law if they can’t discuss the law.

The Braves can go ahead and start preparing for next year. Injuries, underperformances and Minter have them out of the running already.

A solution to the outside mail drop box at the post office on Meredyth: Put a drop box on wheels and roll it out in the mornings and roll it inside at night. Then people will not have to park and go inside to mail something.

Congratulations to the Westover High School Patriots marching band for its appearance in the 2024 National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, DC. That explains all the outdoor practices last week.

I missed Miss B.J.’s editorial in Saturday’s paper. She must be getting political science tutoring at the local college.
