Jacksonville youth mission group to return to Albany

ALBANY — Thirty young people from Beach United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Fla., will join environmental hands with Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful June 20-22 to visually enhance Albany and Dougherty County.
“These young people are to be commended for their selfless efforts in giving up part of their summer break to help us make our community more visually appealing,” KADB Executive Director Jwana Washington said.
The mission group from Beach United Methodist will be making its 14 visit to the Albany area.
The group’s work schedule includes:
June 20 — Storm drain markers installation (location TBA)
June 21 — Feeding the Valley foodbank, Ledo Road
June 22 — Assist with maintenance work at the Welcome to Albany signs (two different locations)
