Albany Parks and Recreation invites community to commit to fitness

ALBANY – The Albany Recreation and Parks Department is offering residents an opportunity to commit to fitness with a special day to check out the J.C. Odom Jr. Fitness and Wellness Center.

The Commitment Day event will run from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the 1100 N. Jordan St. facility, where the department will show off the available services and amenities.

The facility offers personal training and group fitness, cardio and strength training, free weights and resistance machines, the life trail system, locker rooms and showers.

Those looking to get into shape or get more fit can sign up for free membership during the event or any time the facility is open.

Whether a seasoned fitness enthusiast or a beginner, the department said, staff at the Odom facility offers the services and amenities that will allow anyone to embark on a journey toward better health and overall fitness.
