ALBANY — The Dougherty County Board of Commissioners will honor veterans with a proclamation on Monday at the Government Center in Room 100. All veterans are invited to attend.

The National Association of Counties and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers has invited the nation’s 3,069 counties, parishes, and boroughs to join Operation Green Light again this year to show support for veterans by lighting their buildings green from Nov. 6-12. By shining a green light, county governments and residents will let veterans know they are seen, appreciated, and supported.

The public is invited to join Dougherty County at #OperationGreenLight for Veterans by changing one light bulb in the entryway of houses or businesses to a green bulb, shining a light of hope and support for veterans.
