Five charged with Albany felony murder
Food delivery person lured to false address, shot and killed

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide and Gang units worked through the night Saturday to find the persons responsible for the shooting death of a food delivery person on West Broad Avenue.
Five individuals — Jaquanious Oliver, 15; Jaquan Oliver 17; Jaylen Miller, 18; Iren Carter, 18; and Mickee Carter, 19 — have been arrested and charged with felony murder in the shooting death of 27-year-old Alexander Mixon. According to police reports, Mixon was lured to a bogus address on West Broad to deliver food.
When Mixon arrived at a vacant home on West Broad, he was approached by two black males. Mixon was shot while still in his vehicle. Police said Mixon was shot in the neck during what was an attempted robbery, and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was initially listed in stable condition but later died from his injury.
In addition to the felony murder charges, Jaquarious Oliver was charged with aggravated assault, and a sixth person arrested in the incident, Jaquanious Oliver, 19, was charged with tampering with evidence.
All six suspects were arrested and booked into the Dougherty County Jail.
