ALBANY — In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, several recovery groups and organizations are available to citizens in the Albany area to offer help to victims.

Those resources include:

— World Vision at Cutliff Grove, located at 841 W. Broad Ave., is a family resource center providing water, nonperishable items and disaster supplies. Contact Director Junita Nixon at (229)-344-3199.

— Samaritan’s Purse offers disaster recovery and free tree removal. They have a team based at 925 Pine Ave. Contact (229) 733-4423.

— The Dougherty County Landfill is available for citizens to take their storm-related debris. The landfill is located at 900 Gaissert Road. Contact (229)-420-1050.

— FEMA disaster assistance is available at 300 Cason St. in the old Isabella School. Contact 1-800-621-3362.

— Debris crisis clean-up can be contacted at 1-800-451-1954

Georgia Division of Family and Children Services said food stamp recipients can request reimbursements if they experienced a food loss due to power outages of greater than four hours. Information pertaining to food reimbursements can be obtained at the nearest DFCS office.
