Pair arrested for making threats; police seek fugitives

ALBANY — In two separate incidents, Albany Police Department officers were called to the Mt. Zion Garden Apartments on the 300 block of Slater King Drive recently in reference to terroristic threats.

Previous roommates David Edmond, 23, and Demerius Williams, 26, were both in possession of firearms and made threats to kill each other verbally and through text messages.

They were taken into custody and charged with terroristic threats and acts.

APD also announced in a news release that it is seeking the public’s help in locating the following individuals who have outstanding warrants:

— Demetrius Weeks, 46, is wanted on battery charges. Listed by police as 5-foot-11 and weighing 242 pounds, his last known address is on the 400 block of Louis Avenue in Albany. Police say Weeks assaulted his girlfriend

— Natravious Shingles, 31, is wanted on charges of battery and terroristic threats and acts. APD said Shingles is 5-foot-8 and weighs 125 pounds. His last known address is in Dawson. Shingles is wanted for pointing a gun at his roommate’s face.

— Martecia Hammond, 30, is wanted on the charge of criminal damage to property in the second degree. Hammond is listed as 5-foot-5, 154 pounds, and her last known address is on the 900 block of Cherry Avenue in Albany. Police say she damaged her child’s father’s vehicle.

— Jamal Bonner, 31, is being sought on charges of criminal damage to property in the second degree and violation of a special conditions bond. Police say he is 6-foot-3 and weighs 150 pounds. Bonner’s last known address is on the 600 block of Heard Avenue in Albany. Police say he violated a special conditions bond by coming to the home of his child’s mother and shooting at her vehicle.
