Police/Fire/EMS – December 1, 2010

ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 45 incidents Monday into the early hours of Tuesday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Three armed robberies were reported to officers: Oscar Mohedeno, 22, reported he was on his back porch when he was approached by two men, one with a gun. They demanded money but ran away with nothing.

Christopher Estes, 35, reported sitting in his truck using his laptop when a gunman opened his door and demanded money on the 1800 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard.

Ashton Hicks, no age available, reported his friends drove him to Wal-Mart. While on the way, the friends robbed him at gunpoint of an undetermined amount of cash and forced him out of the car. All the robberies are under investigation.

Also reported:

— Burglaries on the 800 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 1500 block of Malone Drive and the 2300 block of Katy Court;

— Thefts by taking on the 600 block of of 16th Avenue and the 200 block of Cotton Avenue;

— Injured person on the 800 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Motor vehicle thefts on the 800 block of Pine Avenue and the the 100 block of South Monroe Street;

— Disorderly conduct; a fight on the 300 block of Davis Street;

— Simple battery on the 2300 block of Dawson Road;

— Aggravated assault; a fight on the 1200 block of West Oakridge Drive;

— Entering an auto on the 500 block of West Broad Avenue;

— Accidental drug overdose on the 1400 block of Palmyra Road;

— Criminal damage to an air conditioner on the 1300 block of Radium Springs Road;

— Reckless conduct on the 1500 block of Malone Drive;

— Simple battery; cruelty to a child (family violence) on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Domestic disturbances (unfounded) on the 200 block of North Mock Road, the 900 block of West First Avenue and the 1200 block of Gillespie Avenue;

— Child molestation on the 1100 block of Colquett Avenue;

— Aggravated assault (domestic) on the 1900 block of Riverview Circle;

— Assault (domestic) on the 600 block of Stadium Drive;

— Simple battery (family violence) on the 1700 block of South Madison Street.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 14 calls Monday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Vehicle crash involving a deer at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Lover’s Lane Road;

— Criminal trespass on the 400 block of West Third Avenue;

— Simple battery (domestic) on the 4800 block of Pinto Drive.

DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 76 calls on Monday. There were 52 medical calls and 24 trauma calls. Medical calls included seven chest pains, 11 respiratory problems, one person fainted, two diabetic complaints, two mental problems, three miscellaneous pain calls and 26 various medical. Trauma calls included 12 vehicle crash injuries, eight falls, two lacerations and two fights/assaults.
