WASHINGTON, DC — Six Georgia Future Caucus members, Democratic Reps. Jasmine Clark, Yasmin Neal, Solomon Adesanya, Saira Draper, Dar’Shun Kendrick, and Imani Barnes, will attend Millennial Action Project’s Future Summit Aug. 9-12, a conference for the country’s most promising, effective young lawmakers. Their selection is the result of their ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the aisle and achieve legislative results through bipartisan leadership.

Future Summit is the nation’s largest bipartisan convening of young state legislators. Now in its seventh year, hundreds of legislators and members of the Future Caucus network have set aside partisan differences and joined together to hear from expert speakers, participate in bridge-building breakout sessions, and evaluate tactics to foster a more collaborative governing culture in their statehouses.

In an era of hyperpartisanship, the Georgia Future Caucus connects young and innovative legislators from both sides of the aisle to break through partisan gridlock and find commonsense policy solutions for the issues most impacting millennials, Gen Z-ers, and future generations. Clark and Representative Steven Sainz, R-Ga., serve as the co-chairs for Georgia.

“Despite common misconceptions about the partisanship of rising generations, the data tell a different story: Millennials and Gen Z-ers consistently work across the aisle more than their older peers, authoring more than 33% of bipartisan bills signed into law across the country,” Zaidane, president and CEO of Millennial Action Project, said. “Future Summit provides these rising lawmakers with the tools and skills they need to continue this trend.”
