Albany State Golden Rams Creating Legacies of Excellence in Academics and Athletics

ALBANY — The Fall 2023 semester at Albany State University has concluded and 146 out of 267 student-athletes finished the semester with GPAs over 3.0, representing an impressive 54.7%. With those impressive statistics, it’s evident that the Golden Rams student-athletes are creating legacies of excellence in academics and athletics, a motto established by Dr. Kristene Kelly, Director of Athletics at Albany State University.

“I am incredibly proud of our student-athletes for their outstanding academic achievements during the fall of 2023,” said Director of Athletics, Dr. Kristene Kelly. “The fact that 146 out of 267 student-athletes have achieved GPAs over 3.0, including 27 with a perfect 4.0 GPA, underscores our commitment to #CreatingLegacies of excellence in both academics and athletics.”

The outstanding academic achievements of Albany State University student-athletes this fall include a total of 68 student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0-3.49, 51 student-athletes with a GPA of 3.5-3.99, 27 student-athletes achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA and 14 graduates.

The first day of classes for the Spring 2024 semester will begin on Monday, January 8.
