The Baconton Charter Blazers worked three days a week in June, but when the GHSA dead week ends, the Blazers will be working every day under the direction of Head Coach Jermaine King to get ready for an August 16th opening date against Montgomery County. The Blazers will be playing all of their home games on their new stadium in Baconton instead of in Camilla at Centennial Stadium. King said the team has about 35 players working to get ready for the new season. King said the team has only six seniors and is made up mostly of freshmen and sophomores so the big focus is on getting stronger as they work toward August.
