Cervantes Jackson earns Triple Jump National Championship

Cervantes Jackson, or CJ, captured the NCAA Triple Jump National Championship Friday. This is the 3rd NCAA National Championship clinched by Cervantes. In addition, Jackson broke the NCAA National Championship meet record. Cervantes was back in action Saturday as he strove to earn another national championship title Saturday in the high jump final. CJ competed in the high jump final at 6:30 p.m.

Joshua Ajiero had a stellar performance, advancing to the 800-meters final. He finished the day with the top time of 1 minute and 52 seconds. Joshua competed tomorrow at 8:05 p.m.

The Golden Rams 4×100-meter relay squad (Jarvis Mingo, Christopher Jackson, Cervantes Jackson and Clifford Russell) participated in the NCAA National Championship as well but did not advance to the finals. The dynamic group recorded a time of 41.22 seconds.
