Lee County 8U Falls to Coffee in state tournament

MOULTRIE — The outs were hard to come by for Lee County’s All-Star 8U fast-pitch softball team Tuesday evening at the Magnolia Sports Complex in Moultrie as Coffee’s All-Stars scored six runs in the first inning and went on to beat Lee County 16-1 in the first round of the state playoffs. Here Lee County’s Sadie Mills single-handily makes an out a first base as she shined in the infield for Lee. She chased the ball down and raced to the bag to beat the Coffee County runner. The loss sends Lee County to the loser’s bracket and now they will face the loser of the Coffee County vs. Vidalia game which was scheduled to play at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Moultrie.
