Dougherty’s Zatterian Kegler (29) pulls in a pass from quarterback David Burgess between two Westover defenders during Thursday’s padded camp at Westover. The teams didn’t get a lot of work in because lightning and a heavy rain shower cut the day short. Even so, Dougherty head coach Uyl Joyner said he thought his team made a step forward with the week of work they got in before the GHSA dead week began. The teams are off all week but will return to the gridiron next week to prepare for upcoming football season. Dougherty will be heading to Moultrie for a padded camp with the always strong Packers.
