Smith Pinson pitches complete game, shut-out for Kennesaw State

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Former Lee County standout Smith Pinson threw a complete game, six-hitter Friday afternoon to lead the Kennesaw State Owls over Florida International University 8-0 in the Conference USA baseball tournament hosted by Liberty University.

He pitched all nine innings, allowing six hits with no walks or runs.

Pinson, a 2021 Lee County graduate, is now 8-2 on the year for the Owls. With the win Friday, Kennesaw State (31-26) moves into the conference semifinals against Western Kentucky Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
